There's a special mail order offering in one of the recent art magazines - I'll try to find the reference but I remember they were sold by Dick Blick on line. |

I was working with the Pebeo Fragonard line of watercolors. I found them in the sale bin at Pearl, and I have never seen them anywhere else. |

I've only seen student grade Pebeo cake watercolors but not tried them. I recently saw an ad for an artists' line by Pebeo called Fragonard but haven't tried them. Can't find them in any of my catalogs either. There's no info on them at handprint.com. Are these the type you are looking at? I'd be interested in any info if you try them. |

Thanks Suzy and Marie. Does not seem to be much known about the pebeo line. Guess I'll hold off any purchase of the stuff for now. Tim |

I tried the Pebeo watercolors a few years ago when one of our local stores carried them. For the most part, I was not terribly impressed. However, they manufactured a Quinacridone Scarlet (PR207), which they marketed as "Pink Madder", that was gorgeous and I haven't been able to find from any other manufacturer. It was a bluish pink, almost like a quinacridone rose, in masstone but became warmer in tints. Lovely pigment. |

Hi: Anyone had any experience with the Pebeo line of watercolours. If so , any comments? They are locally available, but, they are of unknown quality to me. Would like to hear from others before spending lot of $. Thanks |
