If you know someone who can weld, metal conduit (found in the electrical section of Lowes/Home Depot) made into panels (about 3'x6'or7' - whatever size fits your tent) covered with 2"x3" wire mesh (think screen door design) makes a wonderful wall for hanging art. Usually 3 can be attached side by side and make up one wall for your tent. They are very lightweight and can be stacked in your van/trailer/etc. Paintings can be hung using "S" hooks (also from Lowes/Home Depot). Screens are attached to tent legs and upper tent struts using plastic electrical ties - also called "zip ties" (found in electrical at Lowes/Home Depot). BE SURE TO TAKE SCISSORS OR SOMETHING TO CUT THE TIES WHEN YOU GET READY TO BREAK DOWN YOUR DISPLAY. If you don't know anyone who welds, you can get 1/2 inch, 90 degree elbow joints to join your conduit sections. All it requires is a phillips head screwdriver. Wire mess can be attached to your square/rectangular frame using the "zip ties". This design is somewhat wobbly and hard to transport because the elbows sometimes come unscrewed. I got these ideas (and made my display panels) from a brochure I ordered (free) from: GRAPHIC DISPLAY SYSTEMS 308 SOUTH 1ST ST. LEBANON, PA 17042 Their phone number is 1-800-848-3020. Hope this helps. I've used my screens for about 4 years and like them more every time. |

I appreciate your answers. I guess i will need to make a visit to Lowes or Home Depot to see what I can use. Meanwhile, Suzy, If you are out there, I sure would like to see what suggestions you may have. |

Suzy would be the one to answer that question. She's a veteran of the art show circuit. |

Some people build walls out of lightweight materials (for example; wire mesh, cork board, trellis units) and wire them to the tent supports. I’ve seen tents with special lighting for the paintings, and chairs and a table for doing business. It seems like a lot to carry in and set up, but these people who do the shows really get into it. |

I am sure there are other solutions, but you can start here: http://www.cheapjoes.com/art-supplies/7073_testrite-gallery-walls.asp |

I need your Help! I have been juried into my first art festival, where you display your art in a 10'x10' tent. I have no idea how to hang my art on a tent wall. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
