I am a neophyte but want to hang some watercolors. They don't need to be framed for the ages, in fact I would probably rotate pictures in & out of frames if possible; but I would still like to use mat &c that would not damage the pictures. It is not clear to me from CJ's catalogue whether any of the sets or kits will do the above with no additional parts & not too much assembly. Am I dreaming? |

our frames include everything you need except for the glass, and we carry some precut mats (also from logan) that should not cause any damage. what is "c"? -gabriel. |

So what, specifically, might I order to easily & preferably reversibly frame, say, a 16x20 wc (frame, mat, clips or whatever). What kind of glass would I need to buy locally (dimensions & other specifications, if any)? Sorry I am entirely new at this & somewhat isolated (by choice). I assume the wire &c (I think this an archaic version of "etc") are standard hobbylobby type items? Please don't do the cadmium thing on my account. |

hey kukana- i already e-mailed you, but for the benefit of the site and its' users, you may find butcher paper and many other framing supplies from United Manufacturers. the phone number is: 1-800-645-7260. oh, and try the cobalt omelette with ochre dressing. simply divine. -gabriel. |

Hi there! I have found Walmart has some nice frames in 8X10 and 11X14 solid wood with glass. They are a dark or light color. I don't like the color of the wood, but I spray paint them gold or black. They only cost $5 for the larger ones and $2.50 for the smaller ones. Heck you can't even buy the glass for that at Michaels!!! Sometimes the 11X14 even have a standard precut mat inside the frame. You do have to look them over to make sure they are cut well and the corners line up. Good luck and I hope this helps! |
