The forum is eerily quiet without your input, Robert. We think about your progress each time we use this forum. If you are able please do write. |

Robert, Know that there are many of us, with names you know and don't know, with whom you've shared so generously, who are routing for you to get well and back home soon. |

To our dearest friend Robert, You have many blank sheets of paper waiting for your brush. Too many discussions needing your sage advice. Too many opinions that need to be heard. I for one will look forward to all of these!! Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Safe journey my friend. |

Robert, I had a deep feeling of sadness when I read your post. I felt as a dear friend was having a difficult time and there was little one could do to help. Please know my thoughts are with you and add me to the list of people have appreciated and benefitted from all your knowledge and your willingness to share it. Please keep us posted on your progress. You may be going away but you "won't be forgotten!" |

Although I have known you just a few emails ago, Robert, you have warmth in the responses you give about paints, techniques and so on. Just remember that part of the healing is in your positive thinking, so we would wish to hear from you again and let us know of your progess at the hospital. |

I like prismacolor raw sienna, bt, sienna for portrait and figure work becasue they are very close to flesh tone. Their ultramarine blue has always been my favorite. I love Maimeriblu and use it mostly. I use some Daler-Rowney. No surprise in any of this since I've said this repeatedly. Besides, who cares what I like? I am just dust in the wind. This will be my last post as I am traveling to a major cancer center for treatment and have poor prospects. All the best. |

Robert, Is prismacolor your favorite brand now? I thought it was MaimeriBlu. |

You are welcome; I have found that I cannot do without the following Prismacolor / Grumbnacher Finest * versions for portrait and figure work: Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Cerulean, Ultramarine (not French Ultra). Also their Thalo Blue and Green are the best made, the most brilliant and concentrated out there--well, except for the M. Graham pthalos which are about the same, but then Mr. Graham was the genius behind Grumbacher Finest before he started his own company! *to any reader--do not mistake grumbacher Finest and Grumbacher Academy--totally different. Grumbacher Finest has morphed into Prismacolor. |

Yes, to a point. Prismacolor added a couple of new colors such as Prismacolor yellow, and some of the names have changed, but all the prismacolor I have bought is identical to the Grumbacher Finest counterpart--identical. |

Are Prismacolor watercolor paints the same colors and formulations as the Grumbacher Finest brand? |
