My husband suggested I give each member of our church a w/c for Christmas, no way, to late. But when I went to my thank you cards I found they were gone so I started cutting up failed w/c, in a couple of cases I found the cropping greatly improved the picture! I plan on using some faileds for the personal info for the galleries. Excellent idea. |

I used to cut up my failures to make book marks. Punched a hole in the top and added a yarn tassel. When cut up they often made nice abstracts. Fortunately I ran out of failures. |

I love your bookmarks, Eugene. I would not discard one of these. One artist I know, cuts up failed paintings into business card size and then stamps business information on the reverse side. Though the cards may have lacked a pleasing design, they were actual, little watercolor paintings. |

I like the idea of bookmarks. I can't come up with any better ideas at the moment. |

Here’s an idea I’d like to share. For giveaways at shows I print bookmarks, on my computer printer, of one of my paintings with my name and address , e-mail, and web site on the back. I print then 4-up on 8 1/2 x 11 matte photo paper that I get at Staples. Trim them with a cheap trimmer that the scrap-bookers use. They work better than business cards-- people keep them and use them. I painted this one especially for a bookmark, but I’ve also cropped other paintings to the right shape.
