A friend of mine suggested using a circular saw with a fine tooth blade, such as a plywood blade. I have to cut one myself, so I'm looking, too. |

Marie, Rekha's correct about that. It's pretty easy and inexpensive to have Home Depot or Lowe's cut the big sheets for you. Although a couple of the Home Depot stores in my area got rid of their plexiglass cutters for some reason. |

No, it's not. I bought some for a different reason. Too many shards flying about and your run of the mill saw will just not do. If they are not more than 1mm thick and you are cutting straight lines rather than curves you could get away by using a Stanley knife. You could go to a DIY store and get them to cut the sheets to size for you |

I am going to need to frame a lot of pictures behind plexiglass in the next few weeks. Several people have told me that you can buy large sheets inexpensively at the local home improvement store, and then cut it myself. Has anyone had experience doing this? If so, how did you do it, and is it worth the trouble? |
