What's happening to Renzetti? I see they are now in the Clearance section, and not in the students watercolour section. I have the full set of 39 and just love them. Will they soon be discontinued? If so - a sad loss. |

At this sale price, I'll try Renzetti. But here's a suggestion, Joe: How about listing the PIGMENTS in each tube...of every brand? They tell a lot more about the color's characteristics than anything else. Many thanks! |

By Unryu on Friday, April 27, 2001, 10:05pm Those Renzetti watercolors: If Ron Ranson is right, then 2.49 a tube watercolors will make lovely watercolor paintings as well as the ultra expensive kind do. Ranson is an English watercolorist, I believe, and he has a good book or two in print. Glad Cheap Joe is making really good paints available at such a great, low price. Let's all buy a bunch of them and give them a great summer's workout. The trick is probably not how much the paints cost, but maybe how much real time we invest in making our art. |

It would be helpful if Joe ,as in CJAS, would rate the Renzetti w.colors with the lightfast characteristics as he does most of the rest. Also the staining properties would be nice to know. If the pigments used were known, they could be checked in the Wilcox guidebook. However, everything I have bought from CJ has performed as advertised, so I would expect the same of the Renzetti. |

Have you tested them for quality? |

I realize different colors within different brand names vary according to transparency, fugitiveness, etc. Does Cheap Joe's do a test on the different brands, or is that left up to the artists? |

I received a set of the Renzetti Watercolors not to long ago and like them so far. I was wondering if there is plans to offer them in cake form similar to the sets of other student watercolors (Cotman field box/Van Gogh field box.) Also, I use gouache in my design classes and their seems to be no middle ground in price and quality. I would love to see a gouache similar in quality and price to Renzetti Watercolors. |

I wonder how Renzetti compares to Cotman ? Has anyone had any experience with both? I am on a budget and want the best for my limited funds. |

Dear Mermaid, Comparisons with other brands of color are very subjective. Therefore, I am very reluctant to say which you may like better. However, Renzetti comes in a 15ml tube, and comes with the Cheap Joe's Guarantee: If you or your teacher that Renzetti Watercolors are not right for you, we'll replace them with anything we sell of equal value or refund every cent you paid!
