Kukana - if you are reading the board these days, I want to thank you for pushing the Composition book. I got it yesterday and read it cover-to-cover quickly and reading it now page by page. I see now why you raved about it so many times on this board. |

Finally thanks to Kukana's persistent reminder that the Webb book on composition is great, I found it for a price I felt I would pay for it. It's on its way. Patience paid off this time! Thanks, Kukana! |

by the way: frank webb, a student of edgar whitney, is basically teaching the design principles developed by whitney and expounded in whitney's "complete guide to watercolor painting," available in paperback from amazon.com. the webb book is out of print and currently selling for up to $100 online. i have both books and they provide the same design principles. webb goes into more detail on those principles; whitney goes farther afield into other topics such as drawing, painting techniques, and the philosophy of art. |

Go to www.abebooks.com Thats where I found mine. I paid only $25 ...a real deal!! I have studied with him and after my last encounter consider him a friend! The book is worth wahtever you have to pay! |
